Modular buildings for the military. NATO codification

During wartime, support infrastructure (command posts, hospitals, warehouses, barracks) must be mobile, versatile and reliable. It must ensure maximum safety of personnel and protection of high-tech equipment. Of course, the defense industry has its own standards in the development and construction of single buildings or entire towns. What modular buildings are most often used in the military sphere?

First, we must understand that the work of our defenders is around the clock. And here we need buildings that provide living conditions. Secondly, war is a constant danger. In this case, shelters, modules on the chassis play an important role. The Xmodule company has experience in the production of buildings for various purposes. Let's take a closer look at military infrastructure:

• Command and observation posts and headquarters. Modular structures designed for the safe operation of military command, communication and surveillance. They are equipped with generators, ventilation and heating systems. Typically, such modules are located underground - this reduces the risk of detection and damage by the enemy.
• Medical posts and hospitals. Provide medical care for military personnel in close proximity to the combat zone.
• Barracks and residential modules. Designed for temporary residence of personnel. This type of building is usually developed on the basis of containers that have increased strength and the ability to be located underground. For example, a residential module based on a 20-foot sea container, which can accommodate from 2 to 6 military personnel.
• Special-purpose modules. The design of such modules is adapted for narrow tasks. For example, a mobile warehouse for storing and transporting explosive materials. The module has a reinforced metal frame, powerful ventilation and additional security systems. Another example is a sliding module on a chassis, which allows you to quickly obtain living space for personnel at any location.

NATO codification: What does this mean in practice?

The integration of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into the structures of the North Atlantic Alliance requires the transition to the NATO Codification System - NCS (NATO Codification System). XMODULE received NATO codification in 2021.

The presence of NCS in XMODULE provides the following benefits for customers:
